How to Support Israel
HOW TO SUPPORT ISRAEL
Israel Emergency Fund
Partners of UJA-Federation of New York on the ground have mobilized to provide urgent support but needs are mounting rapidly. By making a gift, you can strengthen critical efforts to support Israelis at this difficult time. You can donate directly to the Israel Emergency Fund here.
ERAN
ERAN provides lifesaving emotional first aid services, offering initial response and emotional support on the phone and online, while maintaining strict confidentiality and anonymity.
Magen David Adom
Help purchase an ambulance to replace damaged medical vehicles in Israel. This is a community-wide effort by North Shore synagogues and Jewish organizations and will be donated from The Jewish Community of Western Nassau.
Magen David Adom, Israel's national emergency medical service, is on the front lines of saving lives in Israel with emergency ambulances, boats, helicopters, and motorcycles.
IMPJ (The Israel Movement for Reform & Progressive Judaism)
IMPJ strives to promote Israel as a Jewish and democratic state by nurturing values of religious pluralism, tolerance, equality and Tikkun Olam.
FIDF (Friends of the IDF)
FIDF's mission is to transform the lives of soldiers of the Israel Defense Forces through empowering educational, financial, wellbeing, and cultural initiatives.
NATAL – The Israel Trauma and Resiliency Center
The Israel Trauma and Resiliency Center is an apolitical organization providing multidisciplinary treatment and support to direct and indirect victims of trauma due to terror and war in Israel.
Hands on Tzedakah
Hands On Tzedakah is fully volunteer run, with no administrative costs, and offers direct support to Israelis in need. In recent days they have provided mattresses and food for people in shelters, protective vests and transportation for those forced to flee their homes
Pizza IDF
Pizza IDF sends pizzas, falafels, barbecues, and other food items to active duty IDF soldiers across Israel.
JGive
JGive is a social impact organization, non-profit, and the home for donors in Israel. We’ve carefully arranged everything for you to make it easy and safe to donate to more than 1,000 non-profits in Israel.
You can also give to these two "tzedakah collectives", both volunteer run with no administrative overhead. Given that these organizations are fully volunteer, if you pay by credit card I urge you to add 3% so the organization does not have to absorb the credit card fee.
Hands on Tzedakah
Hands on Tzedakah has, for more than 20 years, allowed donors to make a profound impact in the lives of others with none of their contributions charged to overhead! HOT is about helping The Poor and the Hungry, The Elderly, Youth at Risk, Individuals with Special Needs, and those who need Compassionate Care, or are Victims of War, Terror, or a Natural Disaster.
Kavod
Kavod supports and promotes individuals and organizations that beautifully and creatively do the work of justice, caring, and peace. The collective is called “Kavod,” since human dignity is the common denominator of all those supported.
