HMEEF
The Brotherhood of TCS’s Holocaust Memorial and Education Endowment Fund (HMEEF) is a dedicated initiative aimed at honoring the memory of Holocaust victims while fostering education and awareness about the atrocities of this dark period in history. Established by the Brotherhood, HMEEF seeks to ensure that the lessons of the Holocaust are not forgotten and that future generations understand the importance of tolerance and respect for diversity. Through funding for educational programs, community events, and commemorative activities, the fund plays a crucial role in promoting historical awareness and combating anti-Semitism and discrimination. By supporting Holocaust education, the Brotherhood of TCS demonstrates its commitment to upholding human rights and creating a more inclusive society, ensuring that the legacy of those lost during the Holocaust continues to inspire positive change.
Educational programs supported by the HMEEF for our religious school and congregation, often coordinated with the Holocaust Memorial and Tolerance Center, include:
• Holocaust survivor guest speakers
• Witness theater productions
• TCS Holocaust related library books & movies
• Yom HaShoah Candle Program
• High School Senior Holocaust Scholarship Essay Contest
