Interfaith
The Community Synagogue is proud to warmly welcome interfaith families into our kehillah k’doshah - our sacred community!
-
Interfaith families have long been a part of The Community Synagogue (TCS), and a growing number of our new families include one non-Jewish parent.
-
During life cycle events and worship services, there are always opportunities for non-Jewish members and their non-Jewish family members to participate actively or to observe respectfully if that is their preference.
-
The Interfaith CommUNITY Group provides opportunities throughout the year for interfaith families to meet and share their experiences.
-
Our programming opportunities (community service, educational, recreational) are equally open and equally appropriate for everyone.
-
Our prayer book, Mishkan T’filah, includes transliteration and English translation or interpretations of most prayers.
-
TCS has an Interfaith Committee made up of members who are part of interfaith families. The Committee is focused on welcoming and engaging families in which one member does not identify as Jewish.
For more information please contact our clergy or the Interfaith Group.
