ECC Loves Israel

As educators of young Jewish children, our preschool curriculum aims to teach ECC students about their connection to Israel. Our goal is to help children better understand Israel as more than a place on a map. Israel's history is rich with stories of strength and survival amidst an ever-changing landscape which combines times of conflict and times of peace. From its beaches to its mountains, farmland and desert, Israel's geography is multi-faceted and fascinating. Our students spend time in their classrooms comparing Israel to the United States through books and videos and hands-on experiences.

We believe that Israel education has a place separate from Jewish education. While our ECC curriculum has always been steeped in Jewish rituals, customs and holidays, we also believe a well-rounded early childhood Jewish education includes both Israel and Jewish education. We encourage our ECC students to ask questions and to forge their own personal connections to Israel during their time with us and beyond. Our approach is multi-sensory and developmentally appropriate for each age group. As we nurture each child's natural curiosity, we hope to plant seeds to help young minds grow and stay curious throughout their lives. Am yisrael chai!
