5:00 pm Tot Shabbat, a Taste of Shabbat for families with children ages 6 & under with prayers, dinner, and crafts.
6:30 pm Erev Shabbat, with Rabbi Sank Ross and Cantor Franco, worship in person or watch on our Website

Saturday, December 10
9:00 am Shabbat Havurah Morning & Torah Study, worship and study in person or register to join via Zoom here. Torah Study will take place during Shabbat Havurah Morning service and will begin approximately 9:15 am.
Bagels and schmear will be provided beginning at 10:10 am.
10:30 am Art and Torah will be an examination of Jacob wrestling with the angel through artistic representations. We’ll look at a variety of visual art pieces depicting the story and consider what commentary they provide as well as how the artist in each of us might choose to represent the story.
10:30 am Shabbat Morning (Bar Mitzvah of Blake Alin), worship in person or watch on our Website.

Interfaith Group Potluck
Thursday, December 8 at 7:30 pm 

Join other interfaith congregants for appetizers and conversation hosted at the home of Andrew & Valerie Steinberg.  The Interfaith CommUNITY group offers a great opportunity to meet other families in which one member was not raised Jewish.

Chanukah Candle Lighting

The synagogue community is invited to come together as we light our large outdoor chanukiah on the first night of Chanukah, enjoy a donut wall, hot cocoa bar, and dreidel stations!

Chinese Food Dinner & Movie Night
Sunday, December 25 at 4:15 pm

Celebrate the 8th and final night of Chanukah at The Community Synagogue while enjoying a kosher Chinese food dinner & movie! Cost to attend is $10 per family. Dinner and movie will immediately follow the lighting of the synagogue's large chanukiah.

Tour of Central Europe – led by Rabbi Z

Jewish history in Europe neither begins nor ends with the Holocaust. Together we will explore 1,000 years of Jewish history. We'll confront the horrors of the past, experience the nascent Jewish renewal of the present, and discuss the challenges that face a Jewish future in Europe.

Do you Farshtay A Bisl Yiddish? If the answer is yes, do we have a group for you! Our group reads Yiddish Literature transliterated into English. Therefore, no experience reading it’s original Hebraic letters required.
