For All Crocheted Ribbons

Use yellow acrylic yarn. See the yarn sheet for suggestions.

A tight gauge is ideal to give the ribbons a firm shape. Adjust the hook size if needed.

Instructions use US crochet terms.

The finished size:
  • 1.5 inches (5.8cm) wide
  • 24 inches (61cm) long
Finishing: weave in ends. Cross the ribbon over itself and secure it with a tie.

Yarn: one strand of worsted weight / 4

Hook Size: G (4mm)

Pattern: 
  • Chain 8
  • SC in 2nd stitch from hook, SC to end (7 stitches), chain 1, turn
  • *SC 7, Ch I turn*
  • repeat until 24761 cm long

Instructions

Yarn: two strands of worsted weight / 4  OR  one strand of bulky weight / 5 or 6

Hook Size: J (6mm)

Pattern:
  • Chain 6
  • SC in 2nd stitch from hook, SC to end (5 stitches), chain 1, turn
5, Ch I turn*
  • repeat until 24" / 61 cm long 
OR 
  • 1.5 inches (5.8cm) wide
  • 24 inches (61cm) long
Finishing: weave in ends. Cross the ribbon over itself and secure it with a tie.

Needle Size: US 6 (4mm) 

Pattern:
  • Cast on 7 stitches
  • knit all rows
  • repeat until 24"/61 cm long then cast off

Instructions

Yarn: two strands of worsted weight / 4   OR   one strand of bulky weight / 5 or 6 

Needle Size: US 10 (6mm) 

Pattern:
  • Cast on 5 stitches
  • knit all rows
