Sisterhood
Sisterhood
The Sisterhood of The Community Synagogue brings together women of all ages to share their lives, careers, values, and journeys. Together we create a warm and dynamic community that supports programs to benefit the synagogue, the community, and the Jewish world at large.
Sisterhood members have the opportunity to enrich their lives through personal growth and friendships, intellectual pursuits, community service, leadership development and recognition of the value of their Jewish heritage. In addition, Sisterhood provides significant financial support to the temple by sponsoring events geared toward enriching Jewish life within the Congregation.

SEND A UNIONGRAM A number of students will become B’nai Mitzvah during the months of September 2023 through June 2024. Sisterhood is offering the opportunity to have your name included in a Congratulatory Uniongram to any or all of them. A Uniongram represents a contribution to the Youth, Education and Special Projects (YES) Fund of Women of Reform Judaism, serving the North American Federation of Temple Youth, assisting rabbinic students through scholarships or grants in aid at the Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion and supporting special and innovative projects of religious education and leadership development in Sisterhoods.
Sisterhood Proudly Sponsors:
Women of Reform Judaism Youth, Education & Special Projects (WRJ YES Fund)
The YES Fund represents the collective financial efforts of WRJ members and donors throughout North America to strengthen the Reform Judaism movement and ensure the future of Reform Judaism leadership. The popular synagogue Uniongram program for B’nai Mitzvah and Confirmation students benefits the WRJ.
Sisterhood Support to The Community Synagogue
The Sisterhood supports the synagogue in many different ways throughout the year, from the substantial monetary contributions to the loving gifts of Shabbat Candlesticks and Kiddush Cups to the B’nai Mitzvah each Shabbat. All are made possible through Sisterhood membership dues and fundraising efforts.
