Grown Up Fun is a Shalom Village Synagogue group of fun-loving adults. All neighborhood synagogue members (The Community Synagogue, Port Jewish Center, Temple Beth Israel, and the Reconstructionist Synagogue of the North Shore) ages 55 and above are invited to attend!
 

Hard Hat Tour of Ellis Island
Sunday, November 5

10:15 AM: Meet at Castle Clinton (Battery Park, New York). This is the required 45 minutes before the 11 AM security check-in time  due to potentially long lines.

1:30 PM: Hard Hat Tour of Ellis Island
NOTE: Tour tickets are $74.50 for adults and $68 for seniors (62 & older). After completing the below form to RSVP for this event, tour tickets MUST be purchased here.* This is the only authorized tour operator.
*This will take you to the Statue of Liberty Cruises homepage. At the red ticket icon on the upper left, select Ellis Island Hard Hat Tour, then select 11:00AM (this is the required security check time at the Castle Clinton for the 1:30PM tour). Navigating this website is a bit challenging. If you have difficulty booking tickets, please call 1-877-523-9849 and an attendant will process your purchase by phone and email a confirmation.

5 PM: Dinner at Mezze on the River (375 South End Avenue, New York)

IMPORTANT NOTES about this event:

1. Photo ID is required
2. Public transportation to the ferry site is highly recommended since there is virtually no parking in Battery Park. The 1 train to South Ferry or the A/C trains to Bowling Green, are all accessible at Penn Station. Castle Hill is a brick structure at the southern end of Battery Park.
3. Hard hats must be worn during the tour.
4. Flooring at the tour site is uneven
