Civil Rights Journey
From Selma to Sinai:

A Jewish Journey for Justice
Thursday Nov. 13 - Sunday Nov. 16
Join us for an immersive civil rights journey through Montgomery, Birmingham, and Selma—key sites of the American Civil Rights Movement—explored through the lens of Jewish values and history. Through site visits and conversations with local leaders, we will learn about the struggles of African Americans to gain equality in the 1950s & 60s as well as discover how Jews were involved in the Civil Rights struggle. Visits include, among other sites, the Equal Justice Initiative Legacy Museum, the Rosa Parks Museum, the Martin Luther King Center, walking across the Edmund Pettus Bridge, the 16th Street Baptist Church and Sunday worship at the Ebenezer Baptist Church.
