Job Summary:
To be successful as our A/R Clerk, candidates should be professional, polite, and attentive while also being very detail oriented and accurate. The A/R Clerk will be prepared and responsive, willing to meet each challenge directly. The A/R Clerk must be skilled with computers, comfortable working with QuickBooks, Microsoft Office and be able to learn our operations software.
Hours:
Part-time 20-25 hours/week (flexible times)
Essential Functions:
- Creating daily invoices and credits for congregants
- Daily posting of all Accounts Receivable
- Create and distribute 700+ monthly statements
- Processing all Accounts Payable, coding each payment and entering in QuickBooks
- Matching incoming bills to packing slips, verifying pricing and quantity
- Reconciling monthly credit card statements, obtaining receipts from all cardholders
- Reconciling bank statements using QuickBooks
- Creating ad hoc reports/spreadsheets as needed
Qualifications:
- Two years bookkeeping experience preferred
- Attention to detail and accuracy a must
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to set and re-set priorities and multi-task effectively and independently in a fast-paced, team-oriented work environment
- Self-Motivated, organized
- Experience working with QuickBooks
- Computer Skills: proficiency in Microsoft applications including Word,Outlook, and Excel
- Chaverware/Shulcloud experience helpful, but not mandatory

Knowledge of and familiarity with Jewish religious and cultural customs are preferred, but not required
