Recording Secretary - Jennifer Assa-Kass

Jennifer Assa-Kass and her family moved to Port Washington in 2012 from NYC where her three daughters attended The Rodeph Sholom School.  Being a part of a synagogue has always been so important to the family and upon joining The Community Synagogue, the “Kassas” immediately saw TCS’ uniqueness and felt the love. The family quickly found their own “community” at The Community Synagogue.

Jennifer’s three daughters completed their religious studies at the Religious School. The girls all became bat mitzvahs and celebrated their simchas with this loving community. Jennifer’s eldest daughter is active in the POWTY Foundation.

Jennifer joined the Board of Trustees in 2014 and has served on the Facilities Use Committee, the Heart & Soul Gala Auction Committee, and a rabbinical search committee. She is currently on the Executive Committee, the HR/Compensation Committee, the Governance Advisory Committee and is a co-chair of the Nominating Committee.

Jennifer, an attorney, currently works for a national insurance carrier and handles employment matters for non-profit and for-profit insureds. Jennifer received a B.A. from Skidmore College, a J.D. from Brooklyn Law School, a M.P.A. from New York University’s Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service and an M.S. from Columbia University in Negotiation and Conflict Resolution.
