Naomi Gardberg
Naomi Gardberg - Trustee
Naomi Gardberg and her wife, Suzanne Franchetti, joined the Community Synagogue in 2006 to enroll their son, Abraham, and later their daughters, Eva and Helena, in the ECC. Their children have been active in TCS, attending the religious school and becoming B’nai Mitzvah. Eva and Helena also participated in the Names, Not Numbers project.
In addition to volunteering at TCS, Naomi has served as a Girl Scout leader for twelve years and in other volunteer roles for the Port Washington Girl Scout Association. Her family initiated Girl Scout Shabbat at TCS.
Professionally, Naomi is an Associate Professor of Management at Baruch College – CUNY, where she serves as Academic Director for the Executive MS in Human Resource Management. Her research focuses on non-market strategy, such as corporate political activity, corporate corruption, and corporate social responsibility, and social evaluations, such as corporate reputation, status and stigma. Naomi is Co-Editor of the journal Business & Society.
