Vice President, Communications & Marketing - Ann Axelrod

This role is to research best practices in communication with our members to insure informed congregants, help increase engagement, provide transparency reagarding synagogue policies and finances, and improve overall communications with members.


Ann has been active at the Community Synagogue since 1988 when her daughter Caroline attended the Early Childhood Center and Ann served on the board of the ECC. At that time, Ann also established the High Holy Day babysitting services for young children.

Ann also served as Chairperson of the Religious School Committee and worked on many religious, fundraising and social events throughout the years. Ann served on the Board of Trustees from 1992-1996 and again from 2004-2008.
 
As the current VP of Marketing & Communications, Ann is leading the team to update the synagogue's website as well as institute social media channels to engage congregants and create a stronger sense of community among temple members.

Ann’s professional background is in product merchandising and she’s held various positions managing buyers who find gift and home products for catalogs and websites.  Ann graduated from Adelphi University and has an MBA from New York University Stern School of Business.

Ann’s entire family is deeply committed to the synagogue and husband Fred and daughter Caroline have also held leadership roles over the years.
