Tu BiSh'vat

Tu BiSh'vat or the "New Year of the Trees" is Jewish Arbor Day and marks the emergence of spring. Many Jews celebrate by eating fruits found in Israel in a ritual similar to the Passover seder. Tu BiSh'vat is also a festival in Israel, when Israelis and Jews plant trees in honor of a loved one. Read more.
