ECC Summer Program

ECC Garden PhotoThe Community Synagogue’s Summer Program, which has been in operation over 20 years, has been developed to meet the needs of the young child.  Our program enables the preschool through kindergarten aged child to enjoy a fun and safe summer playing and learning in our brand new state-of-the-art building and on our 12-acre estate.

The staff is the heart and soul of any organization.  Our program is directed by Shelley Roff who is presently the Director of our Early Childhood Center at The Community Synagogue. At The Community Synagogue, each group is supervised by experienced, responsible adult early childhood professionals who understand young children.  College students and mature teenagers are used for extra supervision and personal attention.  The groups are kept small for maximum supervision, individual attention and thereby, maintain an intimate atmosphere.

The main objective of our summer program is to provide the children a happy and safe summer.  We seek to offer a program which broadens each child’s experiences, in an exciting, social and non-competitive environment.

Summer Activities

Both the indoor and outdoor facilities of the synagogue are available for the use of our summer program.  We spend the majority of each day outdoors, engaged in nature walks, games, sports, water play on our waterslide, under sprinklers or at our water play area, in our two beautiful playgrounds, picnicking, riding bicycles and other activities!

When it is rainy, hot or for a change of pace, we have the air-conditioned building at our disposal.  Brand new state-of-the art classrooms are available for our use to play in, for stories, music, arts & crafts, cooking and much more.  Two spacious, well equipped and cool indoor playrooms are available for our use, as well as two large castle bounces.  The children will be involved in a full array of classes including music, yoga, woodworking and creative movement with specialists.
